The golden rule!
Kidding. It’s kind of greenish, but that doesn’t sound as nice. The most important rule on this site is for you to have fun. Rp is meant for entertainment, no one should take it seriously.
General Rules / Out-Of-Character (OOC) Rules
- Please be kind to your fellow members. I really hate to see people fight, especially when we should all be one big family. And drama is annoying. So please, keep your opinions about a player to yourself. ( Your characters are allowed to feel whatever they like about whichever characters they want to. )
- Respect your staff. We work hard to make this a fun place to play.
- I don’t mind swearing. But please, not every other word.
- Please refrain from heavy chatspeak, anywhere on the site. tYpIng LYke ThIS or in numbers (l8r, gr8, for example) gets in the way of the rp, which is why people are here.
- The number of characters you can have is unlimited as long as you keep them all active, but please post in your signatures who you play so we can all know.
- Please keep your display names to a nickname of sorts. I don’t like seeing pony456 or fishsticks382 for screen names, it makes things look icky.
- Feel free to change the font, color and size of the text. Make it your own! Just make sure people can read it. ( Hint hint nudge nudge: Preview button. )
In Character (IC) Rules
- Godmoding and powerplaying aren’t allowed here. In a nutshell, godmoding is when a character is all-controlling and invincible, or dodge everything. Not a lot of fun. Powerplaying is when the player completely controls the actions of another person’s character. However: I am going to allow a minor amount of control. Such as: Grabbing hands, nudging, shoving, slapping, etc. But remember: Your character will not get hit all the time, and they will not dodge all the time.
- I’d like for this to be a literate site. Please keep your posts to at least one hundred and fifty words. Also, please post at least three times a week, per character, if time allows.
- If you are going to be gone for a while, let a staff member know for how long. I understand we all have lives and things will come up, therefore, you have a month of being gone before your threads are moved to the archives and your characters deleted or put up for adoption.
- Again, I don’t mind cursing.
- If the thread becomes so, please put [R-Rated], [R] or [Mature] in the title. Not everyone likes to be flipping through threads and run into a sex scene or something of the like.
- Please keep OOC talk out of the roleplay threads. There are OOC boards and PMs for that.
Character Creation
- Now, because I think normalcy is a bore and wouldn’t dream of creating a site where everyone was human, there is absolutely no reason for you to play a human. After all, this is a sci-fi site! Make things up. Or borrow from tv shows. (However, time lords will be a rare occurrence. XD.)
- Please fill out the application fully and wait to be accepted. (I know, it’s annoying when you have muse and a character with that new-charrie smell, but I like to know who the characters are on the site, and to be sure your audition post is up to par. )
-----
I think this covers pretty much everything that needs to be. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to PM me or another member of the staff for information on anything you like. :] Oh, and for proof you read the rules, please post in your first character the two examples I gave of a screen name you shouldn’t use.
